Before establishing Pitt Pipeline in 1975, Jerry Pittorino was mentored by his father, Joseph Pittorino, through his own company, Pitt Construction, established in 1956. Joseph taught Jerry and his brothers the skills and work ethic necessary to operate a thriving subcontracting business. After Joseph's passing in 1968, Jerry and his brother Phil continued to operate Pitt Construction successfully until 1974. Applying the lessons learned from his father and his experience co-owning Pitt Construction, Jerry embarked on an independent venture, creating his own company called Pitt Pipeline.

Twenty years later, Jerry’s son, Jay Pittorino, assumed the role of Company President in 1996, applying his lifelong passion for construction and a formal education in Business Management to lead Pitt Pipeline into the new millennium with renewed efficiency and innovation.

After graduating from college in 2025, Jay’s daughter, Jane Pittorino, took on a significant managerial role at Pitt Pipeline. In her current position as Assistant Project Manager, Jane represents the fourth generation of Pittorino leadership, demonstrating exceptional technical understanding, professionalism, and cooperation with business associates. With Jane’s ever-increasing contributions to Pitt Pipeline, she represents the latest in 70 years of generational dedication to quality work and professionalism that originated with Joseph Pittorino.
